Ok.. I agree late term abortion is screwed up. But earlier abortion should not be tampered with. I feel that making laws controlling when a woman has a child is extremely sexist, since most of the lawmakers are men. And... it seems like men are trying to oppress women.

Furthermore, if the Pro-lifers would widen their field of view to look at the whooole picture. You would see that abortion is good.
Fact: Most women who have an abortion are NOT teenagers, they are middleaged and cannot support another child.
Fact: 20 years after abortion was legalized, this country experienced a sharp decrease in crime, especially the violent ones. Mainly because the aborted babies, would not have received enough loving attention, care, ect to grow into a respectable member of our society. Not that it is their fault that this would have happened, but by aborting it. The mother saved the potential child from years of suffering, possibly prison, possibly gang activity. ect.

Yes adoption is great, but please don't go on PUT IT UP FOR ADOPTION tangents, because unlike Juno you cannot find a couple ready to take on in, inside "The Penny-Saver" (Thanks to my GF for making me watch that movie... too many times.)

I am a woman. I've been sexually active for 14 years now. No abortion, no problems. I always took care of myself, because, in the end, if 's..t' happens I am the one who's dealing with it, not the man, who can actually just run from the responsibility.

For years I felt like a kid is not what I needed, since I didn't yet have a decent career and wouldn't want my kid to be poor. Now, since I've been in a relationship for 8 years with the love of my life, we're perfect for each other and could take care of a kid, I'm seriously considering having a baby.

If an accident happened years ago, it's possible I'd have decided to have an abortion. It's MY RIGHT as a human being to decide if I don't like to give birth to a baby I won't take care of. It's also true that abortion SHOULD NOT be used as a contraceptive measure and smart women don't have to deal with this .

That's a very refreshing opinion to have. I do not wholly agree with the woman having full responsibility, because I believe that the guy should also have some level of recognition for the enormity of the situation. I do understand why you look at it that way, though, because in most cases the guy would probably opt to take off and avoid the burden (which is very unfortunate).

I often here women saying that they like abortion because otherwise the guy would run off.. It is very sad that this is sad and even more sad that in most cases is true.
