State of the Union

I personally thought that Obama's State of the Union wasn't bad, but it definitely had its strengths and weaknesses. I'd like to discuss what you thought to be strong and what you think were weaknesses.

I missed it unfortunately as I was working at Ken's. I would have watched it if I was at home.

I had to watch it for my AP Gov class, overall I would say it was a pretty good speech, if not a bit too general on things.

I think he had to be general in addressing a lot of concerns. You could tell he was trying his best to use positivity which is something we all need to hear. Some are arguing it was a lot of fluff, which will remain true until we see a lot of what he was talking about put into action, but I am surely hopeful!

i have no clue about any political crap. i hate it so much with a passion. personaly and no offense but governents are so stupid, jacked, and alot of the people can burn in hell with all their bs scandles, what we have done to other country and people just to make our "great nation" stronger, i think our nation is a joke. and obama well he only one becuase blacks actually decided to vote for once

I really enjoyed his speech, and I've had no problem at all with his presidency. I have had certain disagreements with the way certain things have gone, but that hasn't really been on him. It's more of a focus on the discrepancies that have surfaced in congress and all of the gridlock that has occurred.

yeah that is true and i saw one of his speechess. kept talking about the future lmao. i was like dude.. seriously

Actually, I think there is a pretty good chance he will be reelected. The Tea Party has gained enough ground to split the republican vote, which means any legitimate candidate for either party will receive about half of the attention they normally would have. The democrats have the edge. Even if Obama loses, I can see another democrat getting in.

Ya maybe idk there is a slight chance but I dont believe it will be a landslide like last time.
