The Movie Theater Empty The Movie Theater

Post by Cjanz Mon Jul 13, 2009 6:48 pm

Every time I go to one there is something that someone is doing to bother me immensely. I think my most common pet peeve when it comes to the theater is definitely when a group of about 5 people take up the side seats and you can't get past them without hearing them complain about what an inconvenience you're causing them.

*sigh*

I am also bothered people who are ver' vocal about the movie they're watching.
WTF? (at certain parts)
NO! (at certain parts)
and so on, but these people are never vocal just once, they want to be as involved as a character in whatever movie everyone is focusing on.

Cell Phones. It should be a rule to leave you cell phone at the box office or something. I was at a movie a few weeks back and this middle aged guy (the guy looked like he was 40something) kept opening his phone every 5 minutes and would hold it above his head just so it would blind everybody behind him.

hahaha, I HATE it when people do that. especially the people who act like they are much more intelligent than the character they are advising. "I told her not to open that door." or "well, that was a stupid move on his part."

When people get up to go to the bathroom nine times during the movie.
When a little kid is screaming and the parent is too selfish to that the kid out.

(Updated after a ver' nice recent experience at the theater.)

Bah! I hate kids.
In France, if your child even remotely misbehaves in a public place such as a movie theatre, restaurent, or a retail store (Like a Target, where I work, damnit) then they will ask the whole party to leave.
And that is the way it should be.

Yeah, movie theaters can be annoying, but I always try to look past the pet peeves and focus on the positives. Not everybody is perfect.

Yeah, I am a guy that prefers to sit in the middle. But if I don't have a choice, I could care less where I sit. But if I had to choose, the middle.

The middle is always nice, and recently I've had some pretty decent experiences at our theater. Although...I would say they do an awful job of cleaning inside the showing rooms.

One time, I was all alone in the movie theater. So i brought my own cheetos, got naked, and threw shit at the screen like a monkey. I sat on top of the seats, and in the sticky parts of the isles.

None of this is true.
