What do you think the best way to settle controversial arguments between couples? Is it best to let things rest if it gets heated, or to settle things then and there?

I fear that sometimes if you push it away to let it simmer down that it just continues to be avoided, but that's just me.

Ya in some ways its better to just forget about it and not talk about it. But then if it bothers you enough it can eat at you slowly and just thus make you more angry over time. I beleive that its a good idea to talk about things but only when your in a calm state. Sometimes arguing can lead to pretty intense fights and you dont really solve much through a fight. If you just wait till your cooled down then resume the conversation its much better.
