The Catcher in the Rye Empty The Catcher in the Rye

Post by Donald Williams Wed Aug 12, 2009 6:00 pm

Gosh, I've never read a book which captures teenage angst and confusion so perfectly. Though the book itself my be a huge ramble. It's been a long time since I've connected with a character so deeply as I did with Holden.

What do the members of this fine forum think of this story?

I completely agree. This is a great book, yes very random at most times but rather good. His look on life is slightly laid back but at the same time has a bite to it. I also like his hatred of so called "phonies" ha.
