Today one of the best friends I've ever known told me that she wishes to never speak to me again.

This relationship has been fraught with misunderstanding for the last three months, but this does not lessen the emptiness to which I am now consumed.

I was not acquainted to love when I stood in eighth grade, ignorant to what I missed, I was but a soldier lost in rain. I was not aware that on the quiet february day that the aim message on my screen would lead to one of the greatest friendships I should ever know.

It was a whirlwind, the two and a half years that followed, I found my passion in writing in large part of her deep love for the art.

We became close, closer than I have ever been with any girl. I needed her, often my thoughts traveled to her as I sat throughout day. Wishing in vain that the 93 miles between us would vanquish in the night.

Though the last few months we began to not see each others eyes. I knew that one day we would find each other again.

How mistaken that assumption was.

It appears that this break shattered the bridge between our souls. My soul shared to her through my writing, now lay anguish as I think of a day lost in time.
