What are you currently reading?
For me, it's 1984 for my summer book report. I'm really enjoying it, in fact, I'll probably finish it soon.
Re: What are you currently reading?
Wow my brother is reading 1984 right now too! As for me, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I plan on finishing the whole Narnia series, then I'm going to read His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman.

Re: What are you currently reading?
I'm reading The Host by Stephanie Meyer, but it's not quite as good as her Twilight series by any means. I'm in no hurry to finish.
But as for August 2nd...I'm sooo stoked for Breaking Dawn
I also hope to read two of Sam Harris's books in the near future.

YEAH. I think it's more like now than people would like to think.
I'm rereading Wuthering Heights. I get something different out of it each time I read it. I have no idea what I will read next. Any ideas?

Read the Phantom of the Opera?
I generally don't enjoy classics but that one was interesting. The movie was ok, but I enjoyed the book much more.

Re: What are you currently reading?
I hated Romeo and Juliet. it was an immature love story.
the mere hint that something was wrong and both Romeo and Juliet whined about committing suicide.

Re: What are you currently reading?
lol, we have enough drama with relationships in high school as it is.

I just finished The Host by Stephanie Meyer. AMAZINGGG book. Definitely worth a read.
I'm upset that I missed out on getting Breaking Dawn at the release, so now I need to wait to either go out to the nearest bookstore (30-40 miles away) OR mooch from a friend. Ughhhh.
I can't wait to read it!
Taylawr: I LOVED Wuthering Heights. Umm...add me on something and we can discuss it, my teacher was VERY good with this book.
A lot of people have compared Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse to Wuthering Heights. Whether they're alike or not, you need to read the series anyway :p

Re: What are you currently reading?
I just finished the Kite Runner, it was incredible, powerful, and made me fully realize the opportunities I have in this country.

Yes. You can be oppressed, deceived, exploited and maimed
'God' Bless The USA :p
I haven't read the Kit Runner, but I'll add it to my list. Sorry for posting like a tool :p
Re: What are you currently reading?
Upon finishing 1984 a couple days ago, I have to say it left me in awe. Towards the end it got so intense, and it didn't have your typical ending either. I'm really glad I chose it for my book report, it's really set up a challenge for me, and I enjoy analyzing all of its elements.
Re: What are you currently reading?
I'll pick that up at the library sometime if I can find it, lol. I'm going to read The End Of Faith by Sam Harris first though.

ANOTHER WH FAN! haha, this was, off the list of "college-bound books" my teacher made me look at, one of my favorites. I would like to discuss literature with you -- you seem very intelligent.

Re: What are you currently reading?
I NEVER TALK? is that what you thought? wow. that's.... like.. true with people I don't know, but not with people I do. I like to talk, just.. I have no idea.
but I love to read
I like to read the stereotypical "classics" I know a lot of people say they're boring and the language is flowery, but if you get around that, the general point to the story is genius.

Be happy. I only know Taylawr and Olivar.... I kinda know Ben, and I've heard about Connor.
Re: What are you currently reading?
I've never met Connor but Sunny and me used to IM him all the time and bug him. (Sorry, Connor. I know we were freaking annoying.)
