so I do this sort of weird thing..

So I do this realllly weird thing where in my head sometimes I'll look at myself in third person as if there was a video camera in front of my face and everything I do in real life I'll see it in my head in third person...except sometimes I'll be other people. Like right now I'm seeing myself as my mother doing things. But I've done the same thing with friends being me as if I was watching them do everything I'm doing. Is this weird/abnormal? I'm not saying I have a disorder lol but does anyone else do this?

I'm confused...are you seeing your mother do things or are you seeing your mother staring at the computer.

She means she's looking at herself through her mother's point of view.

I'm pretty sure it comes from an overactive or under-used imagination. I've done it once for about a week straight.

Nah, it's not weird. It's actually kinda fun to imagine what the world looks like through another person's eyes....

Oh wow. I do that too. sometimes I like to relive past moments in my life, so I stare at something in front of me, but I don't actually see it. I'm looking at myself in that moment. is that kind of what you mean? I do that ALL the time.

I get caught up in thinking about someone else sometimes that I play out a moment of their life through my point of view, wondering what they're like and what they feel. it helps me with writing, to visualize a character and make them real.

and characters I have written about in the past sometimes dominate my head for a while as I ponder on their actual existence. IS THERE REALLY SOMEONE LIKE THAT IN THIS WORLD? and I observe people. and they start getting scared because I'm watching them like a hawk.

I do that, too. But it's mainly just for fun.

Yeah, if you just stare at someone for a while, it's hilarious cuz they'll first try to ignore it, then they'll get paranoid and start checking to see if there's something in their teeth or on their shirt or something, then they'll pretend they don't notice but keep looking to see if you're looking, and then, eventually, they'll either leave or freak out and yell "Why are you staring at me??!!"

Try it in a crowded restaurant.....

My friend Zach did that in a movie theater. He had a huge smile though and just gazed at these two college kids. We must have been in Junior High at the time, haha. He didn't just stare. He admired.

Haha yeah tawlar I do that stuff all the time. It's messed up though. Sometimes I'll pretend I'm conversing with people who I barely know. It's just weird, my head is weird, IM INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE.
