Straightedge (Or Other Philosophies)

First topic message reminder :

I've been sXe for a little bit now, and I really love the whole philosophy. For those of you that aren't familiar, the Straightedge pledge is all about having fun without any 'crutches' or other influences. That means no drugs, no alcohol, no tobacco, and no promiscuous sex. Even more so, it's about being proud of it all Not only are we clean, but we're PROUD of it. It's cool to be clean, more or less. Of course, it's open for discussion (especially for sXe people under age 21), but it's a really positive way of life, and I love it. Anyone here edge? Or does anyone else have any great philosophies that they live by?

Haha I know what you mean, I live in a small town too. But I enjoy life, I do not see how people who get drunk and high al day long can even function.

And they do the DUMBEST things when they are....stories are nice and interesting to listen to, but I wouldn't want to be the one telling them.

Exactly! They are humorous stories to an extent, but I would not want to know from personal experience either.

Another small town here, so it's pretty lame.

But I get those stories everyday on the bus. They're kinda interesting, but I don't get why people enjoy getting "soo F**ked up!", almost dying, screwing up relationships, and throwing away hopes and dreams for the future.

Yea, I just do not see the fun of it all. I mean I have friends who are totally opposite of sXe....and near pregnancy stories should be enough to set them straight

but no....they continue having tooooo much "fun"

I want to remember what happened the night before as well, and know that I did not do anything stupid.

1. Stop at every gas station on the way and make THEM pay for a full tank.
2. Drop them off at the wrong house, preferably in their boss' front yard.
