I am a really excited. The Chiefs making the playoffs is a great gift for my dad, who will be returning home after being in Afghanistan in about a week or two.

Re: **OFFICIAL** Chiefs Thread
If we can get past the first playoff round I will be pleased. We'll win the Superbowl, though.

Yeah, making the playoffs is good enough for me this year. If we win the first playoff game, I will be even happier!

Re: **OFFICIAL** Chiefs Thread
I think media is blowing that up a little bit to cause strife. If Haley doesn't know about it that means that there is a lot of correspondence going on behind his back. As far as I know, Weis and Haley have a pretty good relationship. Plus, why would he go right back into the college scene?
Re: **OFFICIAL** Chiefs Thread
Eh, it's looking more and more like a done deal, however, I have a few thoughts.
First, Weis was hired for a couple of reasons, first, he was wanted to "steady the ship." Or to provide a sturdy foundation that the offense could build upon, and secondly, he came on board to work with Matt Cassel.
We can obviously see that Weis has succeeded in both of these goals, especially from the incredible year that Matt Cassel has had. No one saw that one coming at the beginning of this season.
Next, Charlie Weis has only been an offensive coordinator for defensive minded coaches. While his offenses have been disciplined and tightly ran, they have never been at the top of the nfl. I believe that somebody else might be able to help Haley's offense take off over the next few years.
Finally, nobody really expected Weis to stay on long, so I will not be torn up if he ends up departing. Another thing to consider is that New England has had so many offensive coordinators over the last few years. If a solid system is in place, I do not know believe it makes an incredible difference if there are changes at the top. I also believe that Crennel holds on to his defensive coordinator position, so I'm crossing my fingers that his spot remains intact.
All in all, it is a fantastic time to be a Chiefs fan, and as of now they're possibilities are nearly endless.
Cheers!

Re: **OFFICIAL** Chiefs Thread
At least we're in the playoffs. It does suck, though.
It was one thing to lose to them in OT...now they're killing us at home.

Re: **OFFICIAL** Chiefs Thread
I've decided to pretend that the last chiefs game never actually happened, because it is apparent that no chiefs players actually showed up to play.
So...
Hell yeah, guys, Chiefs are 10-5 and ready to dominate in the playoffs!

Re: **OFFICIAL** Chiefs Thread
They do, but I think they can take them, anything can happen in the playoffs, and also, the Ravens defense is not as solid as it has been in the past.
Re: **OFFICIAL** Chiefs Thread
Yeah, I am pulling for the Chiefs to beat the Ravens. That would be a dream come true.

Re: **OFFICIAL** Chiefs Thread
The Chiefs are going to win if Charles gets hot, I'm hoping he has a huge day considering that he just missed Jim Brown's average yards per carry record.
Re: **OFFICIAL** Chiefs Thread
I would love it if Charles and Jones just have a hay day and run all over them. I would also love another Bowe reception for a TD. I always love those.

Re: **OFFICIAL** Chiefs Thread
Eh, bad news guys, both Brian Waters and Dwayne Bowe missed practice today because of an undisclosed "illness."
